Get To Know Zach Urban
Zach's career has been marked by a distinctive solution oriented approach to non-profit management and consumer education related to solving real life issues. With vast experience in the real estate, affordable housing, nonprofit and government sectors Zach has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, but more importantly he has developed the relationships at the local, regional, state and national level to help resolve issues in practical partnership based solutions. Mr. Urban has given interviews on the subject of homeownership and foreclosure prevention to National Public Radio, Bill Moyer's Journal, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, The Associated Press and the Neighborhood Gazette. Mr. Urban carries with him over fifteen years of nonprofit organization management experience. Zachary has written guidelines and policy standards for a variety of industries including Real Estate Brokers, Real Estate Appraisers, Mortgage Loan Originators, Housing Counselors, and Homeownership Education programs across the country. Mr. Urban is the drafter and implementer of various homeownership and foreclosure prevention programs, which have been successful in promoting homeownership while preventing foreclosures. Mr. Urban has over fifteen years of mortgage and real estate regulatory compliance experience. Mr. Urban holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Colorado State University. He is an Eagle Scout. Mr. Urban's public service experience includes currently serving as a Commissioner of the Jefferson County Housing Authority, a Board Member of Lutheran Medical Center Foundation and as a Wheat Ridge City Council Member. Mr. Urban has served on various boards, commissions and appointments at both a state and local level, for example, his former role as a Board Member of the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
